What we believe

About The Bible
The Bible is divinely inspired by God, inerrant, the supreme and final authority.  2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12

About God

One God exists eternally in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and has revealed Himself to be perfect in love, righteous in all His ways and Creator of all things.  Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is  God’s eternal Son, Lord and Head of the Church which He established upon the earth through Virgin Birth, sinless life, death by crucifixion for the sins of the world, resurrection from the dead and the hope of His second coming.  All who believe in Him will be declared righteous on the basis of His death.  At the second coming, the living and the dead will stand before Him.  We believe He will judge the world and establish His everlasting Kingdom.  Those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior will go to be with Him in heaven for eternity, and those who have not will be eternally separated from Him in hell.  Jesus is now at the right hand of God making intercession for us and has given each local church authority under Himself to govern their own affairs, as the church is led by the Holy Spirit.  John 1:1,2,14; Hebrews 9:24; Philippians 2:6-8; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:1; Ephesians 5:23-24; 1 Peter 5:1-4; John 5:28-29; 11:25-26; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead.  He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment; encourages us to repent of sin and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; lives within us, guides us, teaches us and enables us to live Godly lives.  John 16:8-11,13; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 8:14

About Mankind

Mankind was created in the image of God, but through rebellion has been separated by sin and incurred not only physical but spiritual death, which is separation from God.  Genesis 1:27; Hebrews 9:27-28; Psalm 51:5

About Salvation

Salvation is a gift of God, received by personal faith in Christ, repentance of sin and confession of Jesus as Lord.  God's gift through Christ has enabled us to have restored fellowship with God and the hope of eternity with Him in Heaven.   John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-5, 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-10

About The Church

The Church is the living body of Christ on earth, founded on the day of Pentecost by the pouring out of the Holy Spirit and consisting of all those in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who are called to live in fellowship and worship together.  For the Church to function completely, every member is called to minister with the gifts that have been given to them to fulfill God's mission to reach the world.  Romans 12:1-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:11-16
