About ONE Center for Leadership
Resourcing leaders here in Canton and around the world.
In 2018, our church partnered with RiverTree Christian Church to found the ONE Center for Leadership. Part of our original facility is now set aside as strategic spaces for meetings, offices, conferences, training, collaboration, and community-building—serving churches, businesses, non-profits alike.
Connecting Canton's best resources with those who need them.
Canton is a city of tremendous need. Canton is also a city of tremendous assets and potential. As a nonprofit community development corporation, The Canton Abbey aims to see those assets better connected and that potential more fully realized by creating new opportunities of connection, resourcing, and training among all who desire the common good of our city.
Fighting food insecurity in the greater Akron-Canton area.
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank provide food to our neighbors in need through 500 food pantries, hot meal sites, shelters and other hunger-relief programs in the neighborhoods and communities where people need food.
Love The Children's main project is the Christmas Celebration. We work with local social justice agencies to receive the names of families who are in need in the Canton area and then provide two brand new gifts for each child in that family. The gifts are personally purchased by LTCM volunteers during shopping sprees and then gift wrapped and tagged at wrapping parties. EVERY child who participates in LTCM's Christmas Celebration receives a traditional Christmas dinner, live entertainment and a personal time with Santa to get their gifts on the night of the party.
