There is perhaps nothing more fundamental to the Christian life than prayer. In prayer, we tend to a conversational relationship with the One in whose image we are made. Prayer creates space for us to rest in the presence of God, to quiet ourselves so as to be able to discern the Lord's voice, and to make known to God that which weighs on our hearts and minds.
Prayer is not so much about getting God to do what we think God ought to do, but to tend to our own formation as worshippers and disciples.
