A historic church growing a fresh imagination of life with God, in community, for the sake of others and the city of Canton.

We gather for worship to (re)center our lives in God's story, to encounter the risen Jesus, and to tend to the creative work of the Holy Spirit within and among us.

We gather not as individuals, but as a community of disciples deeply committed to one another, to learning the ways of Jesus, and to joining in on God's mission in the world.

Sundays, 10:00am
Our gatherings follow a pattern of worship - a liturgy - that has nourished and formed local churches for thousands of years. Our worship is meant to be simple and accessible, but also rich and participatory.

We observe silence together, sing together, read Scripture together, hear a sermon together, and respond together.

We also pray with and for one another, but also for the global church, for the world, for our nation, and for our city.

On the first Sunday of the month we also come around the Lord's table together, remembering and giving thanks for Christ's sacrifice as a gift through which God brings about healing, forgiveness, reconciliation, and recreation!

Welcome to Resurrection!

For over 200 years, First Church of the Resurrection has cultivated worship, community, and ministry in and for the city of Canton.

Today, as a church and through the newly forming work of Resurrection Collective, we are actively pursuing fresh ways of bringing together people and groups who long to see the good news of God's new creation connected to the renewal of the city.

We are a community passionately committed to being deeply formed by the love of God, in the ways of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the sake of others.

If this sort of imagination of life with God, in community, for the sake of others and the city of Canton resonates with you, let's talk!
